e1 to Present at Energy Frontiers International Forum

May 5th, 2016, Bend, OR — Dr. Dave Edlund, Element 1 Corp’s (e1) Chief Executive Officer has been invited to present the topic “Emerging Nano-Scale GTX Solutions for Associated Gas” at the Energy Frontiers International Gas Flare Monetization Forum being held in Denver the week of May 16th 2016. Dr. Edlund’s presentation will describe e1’s unique technology and approach which enables companies to significantly reduce the cost of converting flare gas to a valuable liquid fuel resulting in reduced waste and lower emissions.

Supported by the World Bank’s Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership (GGFR), the Forum brings together stakeholders from the oil and gas industry to present their technologies, projects, strategies and policies which aim to recover and monetize associated and stranded natural gas.

Globally, more than 5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas goes up in flames annually to dispose of gas that is produced or associated with oil production. Gas flaring is a wasteful practice that damages the environment, producing more than 350 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) in annual emissions, contributing to climate change. Regulatory and political pressure to reduce and eliminate gas flaring is building. International and national oil companies have responded, and are actively seeking new technologies that can economically reduce flaring emissions.

One of the critical flare gas issues from a technology perspective is how to justify processing expense for small volumes of low-pressure gas that decline quickly relative to traditional gas fields. “e1 is one of a small, but growing number of companies developing micro-scale mobile process skids that are viable on a stand-alone economic basis to solve the flaring emissions problem. e1’s recent development and commercialization of a gas-to-wire (GTW) solution is an example of this effort,” said Dr. Edlund.
